Yoga is a powerful transformational science that can bring a quiet awareness of our internal holdings, thoughts and feelings.
Through the practice of Hatha Yoga one goes through a process of embracing themselves through the tangible reality of the body.
We can use this skill to decipher the sensations that accompany our emotional and mental states.
The body should be allowed to breathe, and by breathe I mean that the subtle yet perceptible oscillation of the breath will naturally travel everywhere: in the floating spaces of the joints, throughout the soft center, along the undulating spine, and through the alternation of tone and release in the musculature.
In my personal practice I use this modality daily to open up to the flow of life while cultivating a deep connection with myself. In addition to teaching yoga classes and leading yoga workshops, I weave these teachings into my overall work to help bring awareness to what is present at any given moment.
